Build: Enable Advanced Parcel Comparison

Activate "Enable Advanced Parcel Comparison" to provide accurate Parcel Rates

Last Updated: October 25, 2025

Applies to:

Shippers and Brokers

Common Scenario(s)/Challenge (s):

The Advanced Parcel feature in G2Mint allows dimensions to be added at the Package level.  Without Advanced Parcel activated, dimensions are entered at the Handling Unit level.  This function can be helpful when comparing parcel rates with LTL rates, particularly when there are mixed package sizes.  For example, if shipping 8 boxes of varying size, is it cheaper to ship LTL on a pallet or ship loose Parcel?  Using our Advanced Parcel mode makes that comparison simple by entering all information only one time!

Solution Overview:

The Advanced Parcel functionality is intended to accurately return Rates when shipping Parcel with multiple packages of varying Dimensions.  Some key points include:

  • Enable Advanced Parcel is not required for Parcel rates to return
  • Other Modes (LTL for example) can still show Rates with Advanced Parcel turned on

In this example below with the Advanced parcel mode activated, the system will return LTL rates for 1 Pallet and will return a Parcel Rate for the 8 boxes, allowing the User to select the best option with 1 request.  Or, remove the Handling Unit Type and Quantity if Parcel Rates are all that you want to see.
