Create a Custom Billing Freight Agreement

A Billing Freight Agreement is a freight agreement used to create rates that can be billed to any client; for brokers, those rates include markup 

To create one:

  1. Create a Custom Freight Agreement
    1. Agreement>Freight>Create New>Custom
  2. Determine if the agreement is Blanket Billing or Client Billing as the agreement type
    1. Blanket = applies to everyone
    2. Client = applies to a specified client only
  3. Enter the required Owning Account and Agreement Name, leave Client blank because this is a blanket agreement, and set an Effective Date
  4. Activate the Return ALL qualified rate plans if needed
    1. On: G2Mint continues evaluating the agreement’s rate plans and returns all plans that qualify
    2. Off: G2Mint stops searching as soon as it finds the first qualified rate, so the order of the rate plans matters
  5. Configure the rate details and any applicable accessorial table; an accessorial agreement must be created first and assigned to the carrier before it can be added
    1. Upload functionality is available for Point to Point
    2. Charge Types are sorted by Fixed or Tiered
    3. If adding Coverage Area's, areas must be created in the Configurations section prior to adding to an agreement
  6. Set the agreement status to In Production so it can return rates
  7. Create a Shipment/Quote to test Rates to ensure accuracy
