Applies to:
Shippers, Brokers, Carriers, and Partners
Solution Overview:
Accessorial Agreements are specialized provisions that serve as subsets of our overarching Freight Agreements. These agreements outline additional services or charges that may be incurred during the transportation process, beyond the standard shipping fees. Such services can include, but are not limited to, loading and unloading, storage, and expedited delivery. Importantly, Accessorial Agreements can be seamlessly assigned to any Freight Agreement at the time of its creation. This flexibility allows shippers, brokers, carriers, and partners to tailor their agreements to meet specific shipping needs, ensuring that all parties are aligned on the terms and costs associated with additional services right from the outset.
A Webservice Accessorial Agreement is utilized for any Carrier that offers API connectivity. Additionally, once the Carrier is selected, the Agreement will show all Accessorials that are currently mapped between G2Mint and the Carrier. Please note: Not all Carriers offer the ability to map all accessorials via API. This agreement is designed to fill that void.
A Custom Accessorial Agreement is intended to be added to Custom Freight Agreements, not utilizing an API connection.
Please note that after creating an Accessorial Agreement, it must then be assigned to a specific Freight Agreement. A Custom Accessorial Agreement may be applied to multiple Freight Agreements. Learn how.
Create/Edit an Accessorial Agreement:
1. Click "Agreement" then "Freight"
2. Click "Accessorials"
3. Click "Create new" then "Web Service"
4. Fill in required information and select the carrier
5. Click "Add More"
6. Enter the desired accessorial then enter your additional information
7. Click "Save"
- “Charge Type” examples:
-
- Fixed Amount- example: $50/ liftgate
- Fixed Per Unit- example: Layover $100 per day
- Tiered Per Unit- example: Storage

- Once an Accessorial Agreement is created, it can now be assigned to any Freight Agreement desired by selecting from a dropdown. If your Freight Agreement is a Custom Agreement, the dropdown selections will be only Custom Accessorial Agreements. If the Freight Agreement is Webservice, the Accessorial Agreement must be a Webservice Accessorial Agreement and assigned to that specific Carrier.
